Mapping of S4 Over the Arabian Peninsula During Solar Minimum

In this letter, we study the temporal and spatial variability of ionospheric irregularities by generating high-resolution maps observed amplitude scintillation index (S4) using data from a multi-constellation multi-frequency GNSS receiver. The is located in Arabian Peninsula region, which falls under northern crest equatorial ionization anomaly (EIA). Even though was conducted during solar minimum period, considerable pre-sunset occurrences have been between 15-17 local time, particularly winter solstices. While most at low elevation (20 to 25 degrees), number causing towards north, east, southeast receiver location, for ranging 40 60 degrees. Out all constellations with medium-earth-orbit (MEO) satellites, GPS impacted scintillation, while BeiDou Galileo satellites were least affected. It anticipated that patches reported work will be further enhanced as activity increases coming years. Therefore, can serve reference future studies periods increased geomagnetic activity.
